I heard of some kind of bone or something they can eat to strengthen their shell, or some calcium? I don't know, anyone wanna help me out?

Please no criticism, I've had the snails in the same tank for some times now, I don't want anyone saying they will over run your tank because that is not true. All I have is a male Betta in the tank.

Seriously? Snails can switch shells, god get out of this section, you clearly don't know what you're talking about.

Your snail needs more calcium. You can buy some weekend feeders for fish and put it in the tank for them to eat or you can put one in your filter and let it desolve in the water. If they do not get enough calcium there shells can fall apart and literally disintegrate.

I read the first answer--sorry that's hermit crabs, snails have to grow a shell. I've never worried about the hardness of shells, but calcium seems to be on the right track. Go talk to the pet store and see if they don't sell a supplement that you can drop in the tank. It should just sit there and the snails eat it if they want it. Another idea would be to grind up a dead snail shell and scatter it in there--that might work, I don't know! Live well and do good.

Adding more calcium will definitely harden your snail's shell. Unfortunately, most calcium additives sold in pet stores are for saltwater.

See if your snails like broccoli... there is a lot of calcium and it seems logical that if they like other fruits and vegetables, they might like broccoli. Why do you need to harden your snails' shells again?
