Can you really forgive and forget?

Yes, I can, but honestly that would have to depned on the person or thing for that matter that i am forgiving or forgetting.

But in most cases i would do that. I am a very forgiving sort of guy and i louve the feeling.

It depends what the transgression was. I've never had to forgive someone for anything really major, so it hasn't been that hard to forgive and forget. But who knows, if someone does something really bad I might not be able to.

I can forgive but not forget, my ex husband cheated on me for most of our marriage 23 years i loved him to much to see what kind of person he was. He demanded a divorce so i gave him one, best thing i have ever done in my life am happier and better off with out him. I still love him but would never go back.

Depends what you have got to try and forgive....if a really bad hurtful thing.. i would struggle forgiving and probably would never forget!!!

You can forgive because you're not really forgiving the other person you're forgiving yourself as well. However you don't necessarily forget , however you don't dwell on it constantly either. It's put in a file with their name on it in your brain for future reference.

Yeah i can always forgive but sometimes it's hard to forget but still I try :)

I personally don't think so. More than likely, when you tell someone you have forgiven them you still hold resentment, which would mean that you truely don't forgive and in that you know you won't forget. I don't know, I guess it depends on the situation.

I would say you can forgive but not forget you might act like you have forgotten but it will always be in the back of your mind.Also depends what your forgiving was bad or not
