Can I send hate mail without getting in trouble?

I would like to send a letter to a woman telling her what I think of her. It won't have any threats or racial slurs. It won't even have swear words. Can I send it without getting caught/in trouble?

Yeah it legal, but (not suggesting anything) if you plan to commit a crime involving her, that's when you should worry about the letter.

Two things:
1) It is illegal to send true Hate Mail. I'm glad you're planning to leave out hate speech, but you still have to be careful how you word it.
2) What good would it do? If it's just to get it off your chest, write it and burn it. If you hope to make a difference,it is more effective to stick to the issues at hand that have you upset with her. Tell her exactly what is bothering you. Leave out bad opinions of her.
For example, don't say, "You think you're all that." Instead, say, "When I wave and say hello to you, you ignore me."
I don't know your situation, so that's just a lame example, but I'm trying to help you understand it.

Yes, but it is apparently okay to send dog feces, as that falls under your first amendment right of free speech. Only if you are a liberal, of course.

You have the freedom of speech. You can tell her whatever you want as long as you don't threaten her. However, if you do it repeatedly it may be considered harrasment.

As long as you are not threatening her. If you are just giving your opinion of her you should be fine. Why waste the stamp - do it in person.
