not right now, i never buy things like the iPhone right off because you know there will be some problem with them and then they will fix it and then it will have more features and also, it will be cheaper if you just wait a little while. thats what i did with the Motorola RAZR. i have the motorola razr maxx and its awesome and a lot better than the V3 that costs the same amout as the maxx does when it first came out.

Even though I want to replace my old Razr and are eligible for a 2 year contract renewal with AT&T (Cingular) I will wait till the next version hopefully improved and cheaper. With the Iphone you have to purchase at least the $59.99/month plan (I have the $39.99) and pay full price since AT&T is not offering a discount. Unless you can afford it and need to use most of its features, I recommend you wait at least till Versions 2 or 3 come out or maybe another brand will soon come out with yet a better mouse trap.

I read to many adverse things about the phone. It doesn't have much of a memory and can never replace even a regular old ipod. I am not a fan of the treo 700 either, since I am not a fan of smart phones, but nonetheless it is over priced and has a two year contract to sign- if anyone signs a two year contract and pays more than 200 for their best phone- its a mistake...

more people will buy it on pure hype than actual knowledge

No, I don't like to be tied to one service provider, plus I like to wait for the bugs to be ironed out. Plus, if you drop your phone you also drop your MP3 player and your internet browser.

Absolutely not. It costs way too much, and I rarely use the cell phone and mp3 player I have now anyway.
