With so much corruption and scandal it becomes clearer to me that we as a nation must begin to use the constitution and take back our government. The criminals we have in place (current administration) have shown me that this is completely necessary. Until the people can rise up and begin to be more involved and hold the government directly accountable for EVERYTHING we will not be able to accomplish anything.

We are weak-willed sheep. We don't act. We don't think. It's a broad statement, and obviously doesn't apply to everyone - there might be 1%-2% who does.

But the vast majority are happy in their little homes, with their little salaries, their little hobbies and their tv. They like to complain... but why rock the boat, when they're making money and sitting fat and (mostly) content.

People should not be afraid of their government. Governments should be afraid of their people.

3 years ago, Bush proposed a personal savings account for retirement. This would have given Americans freedom over their own S.S. benefits. Americans rejected it. 51% of Americans recieve a check from the Government in some form. The conclusion that can be drawn is that most Americans want the Government to take care of them, not the other way around.

All you people living in your parents basement posting about taking the government back and restoring it for the people need to get out and do it. Seriously. Then you'll learn how impossible it is.

Anyone who is in government is going to face lobbyists and interest group pressure. If you don't bow to it, they will support your opposing candidate that does. No matter how qualified, honest and moral you are you can't win against that. Elections are popularity contests and are not fit to select the best leaders.

You are correct in that we have a Constitution, and we should follow it. If you have evidence of corruption, take up with your elected officials.
We have a representative republic, our role as citizens is to elect the best possible people.
There is no provision in the Constitution which would allow anyone to overthrow the government.

Complacency. The next step will include our government telling us what we can and can't do or say... Starting now with the fairness doctrine. Eventually, someone will stand up, but it will be too late.

Don't be so naive to think that this is the only currupt administration in American history, because you have to be a servant to the globalists behind scenes if you want to be president.
