I like both but perferr a dog. Why cause they are fun to play frisbee with.

I have both and my answer will vary by the day. My cat is pretty low maintenance - besides the grooming and when she wants food...other than that, she sleeps during our waking hours for the most part. The dog...very loving, but she barks at everything real or imagined. And there are days where it can seem to get on my last nerve. And not to mention right now she is shedding an unbelievable amount of hair (I'm vacuuming daily currently). And she eats more. But she also keeps me company while my boyfriend is away for his national guard stuff much moreso than the cat does (although it seems the cat is starting to get jealous of the dog so its becoming a competition for my affection).

I used to say cats-- They give me very much attention that I needed back then. I still do but she is old so she need to be left alone to sleep. She is my baby!
Now my new dog is the light of my life. Black Lab just 2 yrs old. He is a best friend for sure,I take him every where with me. He is my protector and won't let any stranger near me. We are buds on top of everything else.
So I guess I am still wishy washy and not much help.

dogs, they are happy all the time, cats walk around like they own the place, and cat owners treat cats like they own the place

Dogs. Because they follow you around and know who is in charge, they also are energetic. But, I have a cat who acts the same way.

i like cats, but i love dogs.
dogs are loyal, intelligent, and cute
cats are playful, and cute, but they usually become loners as they get older.
i have had A LOT of cats, and there was really only one that i loved. i have a poodle right now though and i don't know what i'd do without her!

CATs...
I like cats because they are individual. You can scream, yell and holler at a cat... they raise there tail twich it a couple of time and wander off like "bytch what you say".
Dogs on the other hand will whine, tuck their tales and mope off. they are very submissive... Cats are not!

Cats...they have an indepenent streak that I admire. My cat likes to cuddle and sit on my lap while I'm watching tv, so he is great company...as long as I keep stratching his neck.

Cat. Give him a litter box, automatic feeder, automatic water dispenser and you don't have to worry about how long you've left him home alone in the house while you're at work or play. And quite frankly, he doesn't care how long you've been gone, either.
