hi...i have a compaq evo 1020 notebook... does anybody know what type of processor it uses so i can replace it?? ( it currently uses a pentium 4 @ 2,4 ghz.... but i don't know the socket type....does anyone know the socket type???

Two things you can easily do.

1. Go to the Intel site http://www.intel.com and research the Pentium 4 to see what the socket type/style is.

2. Look in the manual or on a cd that came with your computer. It will tell you what socket type your Motherboard will accept.
