Use Sloggi Midi or Maxi knickers, they have really good elastic that will help keep your pad in place. And look out for 'super' and 'overnight' pads as they will be more absorbent. You can also lay a bath towel down on the bed to prevent staining the bed sheets.
If you find this is still a problem you can use a tampon as well but put it in last thing at night and set the alarm to get up after 8 hours and take it out immediately. 8 hours is the recommended limit time for tampons. This is only recommended for very heavy nights, not all the time.

Put a new pad on before you go to bed and get some of those super overnight pads, they will provide more protection than just the regular pads. If that doesn't work, you may consider setting your alarm 3-4 hours into your sleep so that you can get up and go to the bathroom to prevent an overflow. Tampons may also help control the situation.

well that's not fun. So, some measures to prevent that... first you could put on an extra pair of knickers, preferably a tighter one... so that will keep the pad in place better.
Also you could consider using both tampon and pad for the night. Most people wouldn't, but I've found it to be quite effective for truly heavy days.
sweet dreams :-)

You should wear more than one pad and have them side by side (instead of on top of each other) to protect the sides of your underwear. That way there's less of a chance for anything to leak out. Also, you may just have to set your alarm to get yourself up to use the restroom and change your pad during the night.

maybe you should try wearing a tampon. If not then wear some tights with the legs cut off or some tight spandex shorts to bed. That way the pad will stay in place.

Try a differnt kind of underwear, My step-Sister had this same problem, and she used smaller underwear. So there is no room for the underwear to goany place. no pad slipage, also....try extra sticky pads. that have a bigger sticky area.

try using tampons and a pad at night. but if you are not comfortable w/ tampons, get those heavy duty nighttime pads---they are like diapers but they could deter your period going all over the place.

Try tampons. They are perfectly safe overnight. Just put one in right before you go to sleep and change it as soon as you wake up.
