I thought it was sad, funny, and a bit too explicit at times.

I love that book!! The explicit content is necessary I think to get across just what he went through-you have to remember he was only a kid when he was taken advantage of by an older man.
His other books are great too. The movie was a big let down though.

I saw the movie first and found like always the book was better.

i saw the book at Boarders bookstore;however, i haven't actually read the book. i watched the movie though and i thought it was great. sad, funny, great soundtrack, it's one of my favorites. i kinda pitied the mother though.

It kind of grossed me out to be honest. Plus I found the story about how the girl killed her cat sad and disturbing. I don't need to read stuff like that. Plus, I think he probably made some of that stuff up.
