I have hp pavilion with vista. my internet works sometimes but lately will not connect. i dont personally have internet, but the wireless card in my computer allows me to connect at work or at my uncles. now it is at the point where it says its connected with full strength but u cannot surf the net. i have tried uninstalling and reinstalling network adapters....b/c that usually works. but now i cannot get my computer to connect. the router at work is linksys and the one at my uncles is belkin. any help would be greatly appreciated!

You could phone your service provider and ask whether there's been a problem on the server lately. Maybe they're experiencing problems themselves and are not done with repairs yet. You could also ask anyone in your neighborhood using the same services as you whether they're experiencing the same problem.

First thing to check is if your computer has been assigned an IP address.

Go to start > run > cmd

At the prompt type "ipconfig", hit enter.

Did you have an IP Address associated with your wireless NIC, if not - that is the problem you need to resolve.

You may need to configure/change something in your network properties?

somtimes in front of your labtop is like 2 buttons that light up check to see if 1 those are still lit up if they are not click that and then restert your computer

Power cycle the modem and routers.

sounds like you've been infected by something. install spybot and adware and scan with both.
