We had a much larger tank, but we had tiger oscars, a red oscar, a jack dempsey (that sucker was aggressive!), two clown loaches, two silver dollars and a zebra pleco. We also had these two other fish with them that for the life of me I can not remember the name of... it was yellow with orange hues, had a long thin body and when it ate (it loved goldfish) its lips came off its mouth and stretched out over an inch and grabbed the food. and it looked like it was sucking the other fish to death. They were cool, lol.
We started off with just the oscars and they were all aggressive so we talked to our fish guy since we had caves for each of them and everything and he told us to buy a target fish which is a fish that the oscars can target rather than each other but will not get hurt by them. He suggested the silver dollars and they worked beautifully. They got the typical nips like any other fish but they created harmony. The loaches had drift wood to live in and they were part of the cleaning crew. Some people like putting pacus in their oscar tanks because they look like piranha, but this is sad because pacus continue to grow no matter the tank size or how many fish. So, eventually you would have to find a new home for the pacu because it will out grow your tank.
With that size tank and two oscars... I would put one or two silver dollars in it. If you do loaches or a bottom feeder like that, get them bigger before putting them in the tank with the oscars. (Depending on the size of the oscars, if they are babies then the loaches could be smaller.)
Have fun and Good Luck!!

Two Oscars completely fill up a 75 gallon tank. If you do not have a compatible pair of them (as opposed to just two random Oscars) then they will begin to fight sooner or later as it is.

Pleco's will generally be ignored by the Oscar and it would be your best bet. The problem is that they are very messy, just like Oscars, and it can get quite difficult to keep the tank clean.

Other cichlids are a terrible Idea - cichilds are natural enemies as it is and belong in species tanks, and to stick so many into such a relatively small tank is just a poor idea. The recommendatin of Africans is the worst of all, since they have different behaviour patterns altogether and don't belong with new world cichlids.

Anything large, tough, but peaceful will work with Oscars - silver dollars, tinfoil barbs, grown clown loaches, large catfish... but again, there just isn't room in the tank for it.

until eventually those are shell living cichlids, that are surprisingly a lot Africans at that, you mustn't even have them in a ten gallon tank. what's in that 10 gallon tank now? you will prefer to think of of compatibility right here besides. generally, appropriate to the sole factor you prefer to place an Oscar in a ten gallon tank for, is to handle it with drugs. they may well be small now and can greater healthful, however the upward push costs do not make this an suited undertaking. i might say you need to, yet not reccomended to do. easily as I stated, you could positioned an extremely youthful Oscar in the ten gallon brief term. that may not misguided, only seems to be unpopular. i've got self belief the reasoning maximum each physique is announcing do not as they're thinking 2 issues. i've got self belief each physique is picturing this massive finished sized grownup Oscar, which you probably did not say you had or did not have. i'm assuming you're procuring a clean youthful small one. 2, human beings on occasion fail to get the better tank, and notice whats up, this guy looks like he's only superb in the ten, and flow away him there, which you would be able to not do. the upward push might finally end up combating, externally, notwithstanding, the internal organs might proceed to enhance inflicting a untimely dying in case you left this fish in a ten gallon tank. in case you somewhat will save on with with the aid of on what you stated, then the ten gallon is an selection for a small Oscar. notwithstanding, the main important factor to assert confident, with certainty would be, WHAT DO you have IN THERE NOW, and what's the scale of the Oscar. returned, as i've got already stated, do not do this for any long quantity of time, possibly 4-6 weeks.

I also have actually two large tanks with two Oscars in each. I have added a Pleco to each tank. That is the only fish that can survive in there. The Oscars still pick on the Plecos, but they are too spiny and plus they really help clean the tanks. Oscars are sooo messy!

Everyone seems to mention how messy Oscars are... that is true, but Plecos are also extremly messy. Plecos don't eat fish poo, only algae, and when they mature, they don't even eat algae. I wouldn't put a Pleco in, it is very messy, very large, and it looks like a big wad of snot. I don't recomed putting anything else into the tank, your Oscars are probably already crowded, and if not, they will be when they are fully grown...

Feeder fish to feed them. Your tank is stocked I believe. Oscars get big so I think you're done. Plant something in there instead.
