I have some 7 yrs old computer with 16 mb memory , 1 gb hard disk , 486 processor working on Windows 98.

I don't wana downloads much , but just for surfing sites & chatting.

You better chech with TATA site for min configuration requirements. Apparently your computer will not support or will work very very slow that you will be frustrated.

Tata Internet connections at least an P-111 machine with a 550 MHz processor and 128 MB ram. It requires and Ethernet card also.

I used to have 486 DX 128 mb ram I used the Internet on dial up. Long time ago , I do not know about brad band it this computer will handle it or not.

nobody's sold a 486 new since about 1993 or 1994.
so around 12 to 14 years old.
it's just not fast enough for anything but word processing.

Yes as long as you have a network connection this should be fast enough to surf the net...

Bu I would reccomment upgrading the memory to at least 64mb if possible...

these days you may not even be able to run the connection software thats being passed out by these ISPs.

Uh answer is pretty easy..you can do it...did you see tataindicombroadband site...who provide net connection.. send a mail to tata about your query..they would contact immediately..don't worry...Good Luck

You can. Better you get it confirmed from the concerned service provider. I think it would work just for surfing and chatting.

You can, but you might want to get a little bit more memory for it, maybe 32MB - 64MB. It will work though.
