When refilling birth control..?

Question

Do you have to get a pap smear every time you go?
I've been on birth control for about 4 years.
To regulate my period.
I used to go once a year to get a pap test and refill my birth control.
Well, I recently moved, and have only one month supply of birth control and am making an appointment to the Capital Woman's Care.
I was just wondering if I have to get a pap done?
Or can I just refill my birth control?

My advice is: if you don’t want to have a PAP SMEAR, you could enjoy a nice trip going to the border with Mexico and buy any quantity of birth control.

They will probably want to do one since it is your first time there, but if you call the dr you use to go to and ask them to refill the birthcontrol for a few months because you just moved and are still settling down and haven't found a new dr yet they may give you a few more months before you have to go for the exam. Most dr's will want you to go once a year when you are on the pill, and even if you aren't you should still be going once a year.

it is going to depend on the doctor. if you have a regular doctor that knows you well, call and ask for a refill. if it is a new doctor, they are more than likely going to want to see you-that usually includes a pap smear unless you bring the results of one in the last year

That is how it happens for me.

In April I ran out of refills, and called the doctor who set up an exam for me to have and refilled my prescription at that time.

If you end up that you are going to run out before you get your pap, just let the pharmacist or your doctor know and they will let you refill it once more. That's what mine did.
