Why do people get such bad luck with Limewire? Just specifically search for audio and make sure you're downloading an mp3 file, not a .exe
Your other alternative is to use last.fm, but that music isn't downloadable (it streams)
You can try using torrents, but that requires some knowledge about port forwarding

With all P2P programs like that you run the risk of downloading a virus, but if you are only downloading MP3 files, you should be safe.
