I also want to become an astronaut and let me tell you, you HAVE to know math. You have to know more than math, you have to know calc and you have to know it well. If you don't like math then I would suggest another career particularly not in the aviation field.

There are two ways to become an astronaut. The first is to become a military pilot by joining the Air Force. The second is to be a mission specialist. That requires a PhD in physics/astrophysics and a lot of other work. That's a lot of math. So your best bet is the Air Force - but even then, I really doubt you'll get out of math courses.

Math is such a big part of every day life. What ever field you chose to go into to become an astronaut, math will play a big part. "NO MATH, NO RIDE IN SPACE"

well it looks like you will never become an astronaut than.math is one of the important ones to becomming an astronaut

Yes my teacher said that now many astronauts don't need and experience or much knowledge of math.

Probably not. Although, you can still go into space if you become rich enough and become a space tourist. But then again, to get that rich, you probably need to be at least a little good at math.
