NO, of course not! individuals for the price of a pc and a isp have almost unlimited knowledge/power at their finger tips. how the "big-boys" allowed this genie out of the bottle is beyond me, but they did; and we are all the better because of it!
however, all this good news comes with a caution! think of all the great potential TV had and some now say it is nothing but a great waste land. also i would suggest we all use the inet wisely. i hate the idea of allowing the powers that be a reason to regulate and control it; and they will try and put the genie back into their bottle!

The internet, as well as everything in life, has it's ups and downs. I have found it to be an enormous tool in connecting with other stay at home moms in my communities. I cannot imagine trying to meet other stay at home moms without it. Walking up to people in real life and trying to start a conversation that ends with "let's hang out" is for some reason very hard and awkward, whereas doing it online seems like no big deal and you've never even seen this person most of the time. Very bizarre, but helpful nonetheless. The creepy predators online are the downside, but there are still plenty of creepy predators in real life too, that don't even have computers. People just have to be cautious and use their instincts and common sense.

Well...yes, but no. The Internet has lead to a lot a bad things like kidnapping and sometimes even worse matters. But without the Internet we can say bye bye to email, IM, Yahoo, Google, and all of the websites we love! The world would be safer without the Internet but it just wouldn't be as fun.

Actually, no. I think the Internet has helped society in many ways...although, it has some downsides, overall I believe it is a very good thing. It has all human knowledge somewhere on it :-)

No, there is a LOT of valuble information passed around the internet. But on the flip side, there is a lot of stupid stuff also. I think the plus's outweigh the downsides.

i don't think so but i want to hear you thoughts too. I think the world need internet. For research and you could meet alot of miles. There are good stuff and bad stuff about it but i think good things beat the bad things.
