Check how much RAM you have. Anything below 250MB and youll have trouble. Also check and see how the graphics are set up. If you have factory graphics, the computer will use part of your RAM for video, which can compund the 'not enough memory' problem. I would suggest looking into upgrading one or both of the above. Best of luck to you!

There a several reasons why your laptop is computer. Also a bit more information would help to narrow down the problem. But, I will try to cover all the most common reason for computer lockups.

First question is when was the last time you cleaned your registry. Having a corrupted registry can cause a whole host of errors and problems. Freezing up is one of them. If you have a lot of unnecessary registry keys that are hogging up your computer resources. Your computer is bound to choke.

2. Depending on your RAM specs and your computer usage. This could also be a the issue. Having an insufficient amount of free space does not allow your RAM to function properly. If you are using a lot of RAM by net surfing or other activities without enough empty space your will get freezes. You don't need to buy new RAM but you should increase your free space by removing unnecessary data and perhaps increasing your virtual memory. The below link will show you how.

3. You have spyware could be the culprit, so do a scan and see if your computer is infected.

4. That last area is a hardware drivers. But I don't think this is your problem because your laptop is not so old. So, the drivers should still be up to date. So try the first two suggestion and see if you can get your computer to stop freezing. Hope this helps.

This might be from low memory of the computer, processor speed and to solve this problem just add another RAM to the old one and go into yout BIOS Setup and save changes there.
After that boot your system and perform a Disk Defragmenter (Start>>All Programs>>Accessories>>System Tools>>Disk Difragmenter) - The reason for this is to position all files and folders that find themselves in other places on the HDD. After that step, you have to reboot your system and you are done.
