I can't find it in the dictionary. Is it the same as "um"?
They'll say
"and-ull"
"so-ull"
or "She-ull said she couldn't be here until-ull her ull mom came to pick up the children"

I'm listening to CSPAN2 at the senators talking and Elizabeth Dole and Jeff Sessions say "uh" a lot, but to my English-learning ears, I hear "ull"

I guess it's just in the accent.
I'm not a Yankee. I'm Dutch and study and fascinate with American accents. I love the New Orleans accent!!! It's the best to me.
I also like to hear Brooklyn accents, but which area up in the middle north has that nasal, chewing gummy accent.
They say "Goo beeeaack oover
theeeeur, thiink yeow." What states is that from? (Go back over there, thank you.) That's the ugliest accent.
