I can't find it in the dictionary. Is it the same as "um"?
They'll say
"and-ull"
"so-ull"
or "She-ull said she couldn't be here until-ull her ull mom came to pick up the children"

I'm listening to CSPAN2 at the senators talking and Elizabeth Dole and Jeff Sessions say "uh" a lot, but to my English-learning ears, I hear "ull"

I guess it's just in the accent.
I'm not a Yankee. I'm Dutch and study and fascinate with American accents. I love the New Orleans accent!!! It's the best to me.
I also like to hear Brooklyn accents, but which area up in the middle north has that nasal, chewing gummy accent.
They say "Goo beeeaack oover
theeeeur, thiink yeow." What states is that from? (Go back over there, thank you.) That's the ugliest accent.

I've lived in the south for almost 30 years and have been all over this area and have never heard that or said it in my entire life. You are probably hearing um, instead. And btw..."um" wouldn't be in the dictionary because it isn't actually a word, it just represents a hesitation in speech, so why do you think you would find "ull" there?

That accent you mentioned on the bottom sounds a lot like some of the people from Queens, NYC

WTF? I have lived in Tx and LA most of my life and for a time in FL, SC, MS. Never once have I heard what you speak of. The wierdest Ive heard was when I lived in PA.....you yankees talk funny not us. I suggest a hearing aid or "Hooked on Phonics" for you.

Yeah, that New Orleans (Nawlins) accent is one of a kind. Mine is a mix of that and Texas drawl Ive been told. The cajun accent is even cooler....you should hear it.

I have been a Southerner for over 30 years and I have no idea what you are talking about, nor does anyone around me.
