Sadly the PC brigade have turned black into something nasty! You cannot "blackball", "blackmail", "blacken a character etc. without being accused of racism. There is a huge range of simple meanings associated with black that are now outcast in this way.

BUT - you can have "white knights", "nights in white satin" and any use of white you like!!!

How sad that the PC brigade in setting out to stop racism have actually made "black" a dirty word!!!!!

Well,we all know the outcome for this question.We have been taught from the very earliest that white is good and that black is not only bad but that it is evil,White is pure,babies and virgins etc.Black is evil,death and animals that are nocturnal,bats and the like.No,you will have to do better than ask such a question and get a realistic answer.

Well technically black is the absence of color or what we perceive when no explicit colored light is hitting our retina. Not sure but there maybe other combinations that cause our eyes to send a black message similar to blue and yellow looking green...

Personally I prefer to wear black, but enjoy the contrast between black and white in art or decorating.

Black and White are not colors.

Black is the absence of light and White is the totality of light.

No, it's not. White is not better than black, either.

I know that symbolically, white is thought of as pure, good, etc., and black is thought of as evil.
