I'm actually going to say the first-team All-American junior running back Darren McFadden from Arkansas. His sophomore year he set a school rushing record with 1,558 yards, scored 15 touchdowns, and threw 3 touchdowns also. He has a huge upside with his 6'2" 210lb. body. The kid is amazing.
Also watch out for running back Steve Slaton a junior from West Virginia and senior running back Mike Hart from Michigan.

Colt Brennan is an ex con. Not heisman material. When Brennan goes undefeated against marginal competition then maybe he can be mentioned.
In the meantime I see a three way race between Chad Henne, Mike Hart and Mario Manningham. I think a lot of it will depend on how much running or passing the offense does.

Hawaii's Colt Brennan - #15

Last year alone Brennan passed for over 5,500 yards and scored 63 touchdowns and only 12 interceptions. During Brennan’s collegiate career he has completed over 70% of his passes and has 9,850 passing yards. He’s also very impressive with his pass-interception ration of 93 touchdowns to 25 interceptions.

Career achievements and rankings compared to all NCAA QBs (including Brady Quinn, Chris Leak, Troy Smith, and Kevin Klob):
1st in completion percentages
1st in passing efficiency
1st in yards per a game
1st in completions per a game
2nd place in Touchdowns (2 touchdowns from first place)
6th in career passing yards
7th in completions

Colt Brennan is going to lead Hawaii to a unforgettable season and he will bring home the Heisman trophy!

Darren McFadden is a hands down favorite for the trophy. I would say based on past history, Brohm will not get the notoriety that John David Booty will because of the conference he plays in. The reason I would go for McFadden is that he will return kicks as well, and he is in the SEC. That will always help his chances.

I think it could be close with all the top running backs but I think if Hawii has a good year with their QB Colt Brennan and he continues to throw td he could be a good dark horse.
