My home PC shut off and will not come back on.?
I was on my PC and it just went dead. I have an HP Pavilion not more than 3 years old. There is a small green light on the back of the PC that is flashing, but when I press the power button nothing happens.

There was a thunder and lightning storm in my area when I was using the PC. I have the PC and all other equipment plugged into a surge protector. Everything else that is plugged into the surge protector is working but the PC is not. I unplugged the PC from the surge protector and plugged it directly into the wall outlet but it still doesn't work.
What is that little green flashing light in the back?
Is there ANYTHING I can do to get my PC running again?

Pleeeease help.

Probably the hard disk of your computer kinda "blew up" from the thunder storm

Also, I have a HP pavilion too, so the green light is nothing.
It's always there, I think it means the computer is plugged in or something

so don't worry about that, you should be worried about fixing the computer. I suggest you get a new hard disk or just buy a new computer. But first check with a technician or call HP and see what they say.

The Small Flashing Green Light On The Back Is Probably The Reset Button For The Circuit Breaker. Try Pressing It Or Look For Your Reset Button. ALWAYS Have Your Computer Plugged-In To A UPS (Uninterruptable Power Supply) Or At Least A Surge Protector.
