Especially when you are playing original music that would seem to appeal to 16-24 year olds but isnt trendy.

I have an original band that would appeal to 15-25 year olds but we arent what is trendy these days. We have cds, myspace, flyer all over town but we dont quite have a fanbase. We are tight and are good looking as well. Any suggestions?

constantly put yourselves out there, play a lot of shows at places that are accessible to your target demographic. Most of all, keep the music number one. If they don't like the music, they aren't going to become fans.

well linkage with the question may help.

the only way to get a real fan base is to get out there and play infront of those that would be your fans!
it's ok having myspace and cds but without being out there infront of people it doesn't really mean alot.

If you won't be received well in a concert hall with most kids aged 16-24 where will you be received well?

also get to know the people who do organise events, if you get on with them well they are more likely to let you know about places to play or offer you spots.

Get your band on websites like Myspace. Pretty much every new band I have discovered I found on Myspace. You can put some of your music on there so people can listen to it while reading about your band.

im 24 so it would just appeal to me and no more then?!?

what kind of music do you play?

try playing in your local pubs, I went to see a foo fighters tribute band not long ago, and they were really good I would definiately see them again. And register your band with bebo.com and put tunes on there so people can listen to the songs.

so how goodlooking?

Myspace.com, purevolume.com, facebook.com... My friend is a DJ and he called Apple and got his record on iTunes and he gets paid $.93 everytime someone buys a song. That's where I would personally start.
