Amazing how the gift of gab and charisma can convince people that idiotic policies are the greatest thing since sliced bread. Some people look at Reagan as some sort of god.
While he is far from being our worst president ever, that is reserved for the current one, he is not all that close to the top either. One popular survey of expert historians places Reagan as 15th greatest.

what about ended the cold war -
and how is deregulating business bad
and you know I didn't really care much about taxes until i started making serious money - i don't think it's fair that i work just as hard as the schmoe that makes $50k / yr but I have to pay twice the PERCENT he does - that approaches socialism (one step from communism).
FDR !?!?!?!? I am not taking anything away from what he did - he ripped us out the clutch of the depression - but if you take a look at what was going in the soviet union at the same time - the things FDR was doing weren't much different
I believe your judgement of the past is clouded by your current political views - sure reagan did some things (afganistan and iran) that weren't great - but I think if you remove the blinders and judge his presidency fairly - he'll rank much higher

Why ask a question which you don't want any answers for since you already answered it?
Fact is that Reagan was and is the greatest president. He made America America again and lead the people to believe in the greatness of this country like no one else has ever done. Those things you list and evidence to your answer are but pieces parts of a huge list of accomplishments that you seem to have selectively omitted.
I believe FDR was a very good president, but Ike was an idiot on the level of Ford. Can you say Korea? Ike should have stayed at what he was good at, the military.

Yes! Check out this poll;
He edged out Abraham Lincoln for GREATEST AMERICAN EVER, who abolished slavery, and civil rights leader Martin Luther King.
George Washington, the first US president who is considered the father of the nation, comes in at fourth place.
Current US President George W Bush #6 and his predecessor Bill Clinton #7 , whose presidency was tarnished by the Monica Lewinski sex scandal, are both in the top 10.

Those wonderful policies of FDR, the last democratic president to have a decent idea... ahh makes me all nostalgic inside...
Back to modern day era: Its fairly obvious that the good times of the 90's are largely a ripple effect of Reagans policies in the 80's, but you guys seem to think that a guy who spent his presidency playing the saxophone while getting a BJ was more credit worthy.

George Washington was the greatest ever.
Anyone who thinks Reagan was the greatest ever is a freaking MORON, with absolutely NO understanding of American history. Undoubtedly parroting a right-wing website because they are too dense to pick up a book.
