I'm much like my mom. She is a woman that is strong, independent, and passionate about her work. I am the same way. I've always been like that. I don't think that's a bad thing. We have some of the same mannerisms as well. My dad is a very simple man. He's very sarcastic, and I am the same way. In some ways, yes, I am my parents. But, I am also an individual. My parents would never raise me to be like them. They want me to be like me.

I would be lucky to turn into them. They were the best parents and if I could be 1/2 of who they were I would be a great parent. I strive to remember their teachings.

There are times and my son or husband always tells me. My parents are still alive. Dad 86 Mom 84 I am 57. When my son and husband tells me that I am acting or talking like my parents I quickly change my ways.

I love my parents very much but I want to be 'me' not my parents.

Although I do have a high tone of voice like my father.

My mother how do I describe it to you without typing an essay to you ummm. Let just put in this way I am 60% my mother 20% my father 20% myself!

Yeah, I censor myself and end up sounding like a fool. I frequently buy the item to the right of the one I intended at the market. And I talk about the electricity bill. My husband, too.
