Fate is the supposed force, principle, or power that predetermines events; a final result or consequence; an outcome.
Faith is belief that does not rest on logical proof or material evidence; loyalty to a person or thing; allegiance.
So to your question, there is a big difference between the two words...

Fate is the idea that life is planned out for you, and that you have no control over what you do at all. But faith, on the other hand, is the spiritual belief where you choose to live for God. Key word choose. It might confuse you when people say that God has his plan for you, which sounds a lot like fate. But God's plan is a plan, it's you who chooses to follow it. So the difference of faith and fate is choice and no choice.

Fate is something we can not control, if it is meant to be then it will be. Faith is believing strongly that something will happen, if I believe then it will be. Although sometimes they get you too the same place They get you there for two different reasons.

Faith means taking ownership for yourself, your life and your beliefs and being an active participant in your own life. Fate means succumbing to unknown, nebulous forces that can mutely stand in as reasons for life's failings or 'bad luck' and resigning the control of your life and happiness to something other than yourself.

Faith offers a way out of despair, we have a free will, and we can choose to go with God's plan or not.
Fate infers that we do not have a free will, and so, it offers despair. As if we are puppets rather than humans, to some outside force evil and/or good.

Many people use "Fate" when good things happen to them and fall on their religous "Faith" when bad things happen.

You musnt be a religious being.
fate is equv. to destiny or 'something to be' based on divine judgement
faith on the other hand is 'believing' in concepts such as the above.
