they should be able to since they are both herbivores.

Not for very long.
1. Habitat- Depending on which type of Box Turtle it is, it will want temperate temps (70-80F) and either very high humidity (85%+- Eastern Box) or moderate humidty (70%- Western Box, Three-toed Box) while the Hermit Crab will want much higher temps and a high humidity.
2. Water level/Substrate- Box Turtles do not do well with wet feet- the substrate should be dry and soil-like. Hermit Crabs, however, like wet feet and sandier soils.
3. Diet- they will both try to eat much the same food... and both will gladly eat the other if given half a chance since both are known scavengers and opportunisitic meat eaters.
4. Shellfish, such as crabs, host a bacteria that can eat away at the turtle's shell if the shell is allowed to be damp- like it would be in a crab-friendly habitat.
Every pet deserves its own right and proper habitat and space. If you had a HUGE habitat that could have a mock seashore on one end and a mock forest on the other- but I can't imagine anyone even trying to do this in real life.

Yes and No. But this tank has to be a good-sized tank [about 10 gallon or more] since crabbies need alot of climbing/crawling space and has to have both water and sand/crushed coral/fine gravel [whichever,as long as it's a substrate in which the crabbies can burrow in it].Remember that hermit crabs are scavengers, which is good, cuz that means they can eat about anything [apple slices, tostito chips, cuttle bone, fish flakes, turtle pellets!!].Also, make sure it's humid!A humidifier or simply a couple of wet sponges shall do the trick.
BUT
Combining two different species is usually not a good idea. One of your animals could transfer a disease to the other one or, injure him. You do not want them competing for food either (it could happen...)
BUT
They need different habitats (which is why you never see them together in the wild) and turtles like to eat at crabs, and crabs like to eat at turtles- natural enemies!
So this is a yes no answer

I think the hermit crab will keep to itself. I would worry about the box turtle though, as Master Splinter has most likely trained it well.

no longer for extraordinarily lengthy. one million. Habitat- counting on which form of field Turtle it rather is, it is going to head with temperate temps (70-80F) and the two very intense humidity (eighty 5%+- eastern field) or existence like humidty (70%- Western field, 3-toed field) collectively by fact the Hermit Crab will pick lots extra advantageous temps and a intense humidity. 2. Water factor/Substrate- field Turtles do no longer do nicely with moist feet- the substrate could desire to be dry and soil-like. Hermit Crabs, in spite of the reality that, like moist feet and sandier soils. 3. foodstuff plan- they're going to the two attempt to devour lots the comparable foodstuff... and the two will gladly devour diverse if given one million/2 of project by actuality the two are known scavengers and opportunisitic meat eaters. 4. Shellfish, collectively with crabs, host a bacteria that could devour away on the turtle's shell if the shell is authorised to be damp- like it rather is in a crab-friendly habitat. each pup advantages its own precise and nicely suited habitat and area. in case you had a sturdy habitat that could have a mock coastline on one end and a mock forest at diverse- yet i won't be able to think of of all human beings even attempting to aim this in actual existence.
