I want to create a website about free softwares. So i will be writing reviews about those softwares (only freewares) and giving out the link to other software sites. For an example if i write about SpyBot Search and Destroy i will give da link of the original home page for them to download. Is this illegal? Can i get sued for something like link distributing from Internet Police.

You shouldn't get into any trouble for doing that. Now, if you hosted the files for download on your site, then maybe. But as long as you are linking to their download page, you should be fine.

Generally it isn't illegal as long as you do not infringe on copyrights such as copying and pasting directly from their sites but your best option is to contact each place to ask permission. For example, you can contact Spybot S&D and the webpage below to outline what you want to do and ask permission.
