I presume that you also do not want to run network lines through the house.

If you have Cable TV to the house, you can install a cable internet service and connect its feed to a wireless router - all of which can be in the attic or basement. A variant of this is to have DirecTV or DISH network satellite internet service and a wireless router (but IPSec VPN is very slow with these).

The other option is the cellular internet offered by ATT, Sprint, and Verizon in many locations in the country. Perhaps they have something that will work for you.

Check with ur cell phone provider for a wireless internet USB connection card. $59.99/mo at sprint without even having the service. or just steal the connection from ur neighbors with a wireless router

You can get it through your cell phone. Connection won't be as fast as cable but not quite as slow as dialup. Many providers have it now - the largest being Verizon. You'll need a card for your computer that will talk to your cell phone and you'll use cell phone minutes.
