Success is simply feeling good about the choices you made and are making to better yourself. For everyone that is different, there is no single definition of success...it is a perception. For it to be measured, it must be realized reflecting on the past, "Damn, that was good!," or "We made the most money on that one!"
Am I OK with me, do I like my life? Am I happy most of the time? Do I have everything I need? If you answered yes to all of these, then you are in the top 10% if the world.

Fame and fortune are the concepts of success in the view of this world; this is what normally the world around us expects us to have if we are to be considered successful person. The other side of the viewpoint about success, I find, is more insightful. As it is possible for me to have both of these things in my life, but do they assure me happiness, or contentment or even any assurance that I will not lose them the next day. Success in ostentatiously or worldly sense is an act of constant maintenance and effort to stay ‘successful’. But if I desire self-fulfilment along side all I achieve then I would be thinking slightly differently I would be thinking in terms of the objective I have in my mind, my vision for the future, what I want to achieve after what I have just achieved, and the efforts I put into making my dreams come true. With a mindfulness of all these things, if then I achieve something, however, small will contribute to what I am, empowering me and enabling me to achieve things even better in value. I must stay involved as the central main player in the management of the events of my life to be happy

If I've managed to have a day filled with as much happiness and joy as I can get out of it, even in the bad times, then to me that day is a success!
And that is the only success I crave.
Money or fame is just a nice added bonus!

It is neither wealth nor fame, it is the satisfaction that at the end of the day I can say that I have not left any thing undone which should have been done.

In the West, we tend to define success in these terms. They aren't important to me. if you own a big house and the fancy cars you are likely insecure and far too worried about what others think. Being famous is just attention seeking to an extreme degree.
So, while that may be a common definition, it doesn't appeal to me.

Accomplishing what ever goals I set for myself. What ever I do, I want to be the best at it. If that means waiting tables, the I will the best waitress, if it means being a hostess, I will be the best. If it means being the best driver and not having any accidents, then that is what i will do. Set realistic goals and achieve them, you will find fulfilment in your life.
