How many of the thousands and thousands of ships that sank before the Titanic would you like to know about.
If you really want an answer, check the records of Lloyds of London... they came into being because of all the ships being lost.

What you need to remember is this: MANY, MANY ships sank long before Titantic. What made the Titantic so famous was it's owners' promise of "unsinkability", and the fact that it did sink after hitting that iceberg on it's maiden voyage. Subsequent ship designs were changed to allow for the possibility of iceberg collison damage.
