i was 14 a little late on that end. but i was very athletic. well it was a lazy saturday in march i got up and went to the bathroom and had blood literally all over i freaked out and went to screaming thankfully my mom was home. she got clean things drew a bath and told me what it was and what to do not that we hadnt had that talk at least a dozen times before

Personally, mine was horrible.
My mom and I had a feeling it was about time, cause I had started having cramps like a week before it even started.
Needless to say, since it didn't show, I went on a family vacation with my bestfriend and her family. Well, about a day into the lovely beach vacation, I go to the restroom and there is red blood everywhere! I'm totally freakin' out at this point. So I call my mom without telling anyone what's going on with me and she literally 'flies' down there with a "womanhood kit" and makes a big deal about it.
So, it was quite embarassing that my friends whole family - including her brother which I had a huge crush on - knew my period had started.
I made a vow right then and there that I would not do my daughter like that, ever!
That so-called 'vacation' has been etched into my brain for all eterntiy!

Mine was personally bad and embarressing.
I started at school. The first day I didn't do anything because I didn't know and I didn't care. Then when I happened the second say then I went to the nurse and she told me what was happening. So I continued my day with the pad in place without a worry but then it came to telling my mom and I was embarressed. Luckily the nurse wrote a note so I didn't have to tell her. It lasted 2 weeks and sucked! I told my best friend and she understood luckily. So here I am now my mom had got me statred on tampon when I went through it for 2 years. Now I'm pregnant and don't have to worry about it for awhile.

It was my 13th birthday...no kidding!!! I was in the jr. high school band and we had a pep rally that morning so I was wearing a white skirt!!! We also were having exams that day and I wasn't feeling very well. I had already gone to the nurse and been sent back to class. So I was on my way to the nurse for the second time when it dawned on me what might be happening. I don't know why I didn't think further ahead but I pushed my skirt against myself and sure enough...a little spot came up. I freaked out. Luckily, it was my birthday and my grandparents were in from out of town visiting so they were able to come pick me up. It's funny now, but I was so upset at the time.

My first time was in 7th grade in late may or early june. I knew all about periods. So anyway, i came home after volleyball practice and saw a small "puddle" of brown in my underwear. i was just like okay whatever, becuz i ddint reconize it than i went back upstairs an hour later and there was more! so i put a pad on, and didnt tell my mom till sept.

luckily though i started in the summer, so i didnt have to worry about getting it in school. i was a PMS wreck for about 5 days. everyone thought i was just bored because of the summer and really nothing to do. but then i woke up and noticed red in my underwear and i just knew. my mom was at work, so i talked to my sister who was home from college then. not as interesting as my school period (oh gosh that made me wanna die) or some of these other stories but thats how it happened.

My first time period......awful!It was 31th of December in 2004!I think I was in the 5th grade,or more.....?i dont remember..I woke up,my mom was at shoping,you know some hours later was New Years Eve...I went to the bath and when I looked on my undies......OMG!!!!!!!!!!!It was a bit purple than red...I stayed on the toilet 15 minutes....I couldn't realize...so I changed my undies and I sad:Ok,it annouced me!See ya next month!!I called my mom but I couldn't tell her byh phone and when she arrived home I told her when i went again to the bath my undies were red so I put a..........and my evening was awful!

I was coming home from the library with my mom. On the way home I had to pee so bad, so I ran to the bathroom yanked down my pants and went. I didn't notice the blood in my underwear until I pulled my pants up. Then I told my mom and she gave me a pad.

I was 12 and I was living with my dad. He was waiting for me to use the bathroom cause we were going to my cousin's house. I was like "uh oh.....ewwww gross!" from the bathroom and my dad was like, "What? Hurry up." and I said, "I started my period, I think..." and he said, "Hold on. Stay right there. Imma run to the store and get you some pads!" Then, for the rest of the day, he told all my relatives that I had gotten it.

i was 11 wen i started i kno young and i knew all about this stuff cuz my mom was a special doctor and she told me everything cuz i guess i old enough to handle it and soo wen i had it i jus changed my underwear and put on a pad the wrong way by the way it was pretty funny but yea wen my mom saw my underwear cuz she was doing laundry she didnt say anyithng until like the fifth time i had it i felt like i was keeping a good secret but nope she knew.
