I think my body just hates me LOL! No seriously though, I have been on the birth control pill for almost 2 weeks. I was put on them because I am bleeding (more like spotting) for almost 2 months strait. Now, I am bleeding like a medium period. Frank red blood, as opposed to brownish, half dried up kinda old blood and clots like I was bleeding before. Honestly, I am SICK of bleeding. Oh and speaking of being sick, I am having terrible cramps and back cramps. The pill is Loestrin Fe. Is this normal body behavior? Am I abnormal? Does anyone know if this is a sign of anything else, perhaps more serious?

It seems every day it gets heavier...

You don't say how old/young you are ...
but no, bleeding for 2 months straight is not "normal."

Could be "nothing," or uterine fibroids (very common), or something else. The most common uterine fibroids symptoms include heavy menstrual bleeding, prolonged menstrual periods or bleeding between periods, pelvic pressure or pain, urinary incontinence or frequent urination, constipation, backache or leg pains. Sounds like *you* but get to a health care provider (& maybe a 2nd opinion) & get diagnosed. If this is it, treatments may vary, depending on your age (whether or not you want kids/more kids) & your physician's skill/comfort level with differing treatments (hysterectomy vs. other things). Read about some options at the Mayo Clinic's website: http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/uterine-fibroids/

Myself, I had the endometrial ablation several years ago. "Periods" now are more like spotting, as opposed to the huge clots for weeks at a time, before. Wondered why I hadn't done it sooner!

Best of luck to you.

You shouldn't be bleeding so much. My sister was having spotting/bleeding after starting the pill and it turned out she had a fibroid tumor that needed to be removed. Go back to your doctor and if that doctor won't do anything then find another one. I've been on different brands of the pill off and on for 18 years and I've never had problems like bleeding, cramping ,etc. This is not a normal reaction to the pill and you should go back to your doctor. It's possible another brand will help but you need to find out in case it's something else.

Yeah those are probably blood clots coming out but definitly go back to your doctor and tell them that the birth control pills aren't working. Your body may need something stronger. My question to you is if you had any recent surgery that could cause constant and heavy bleeding like this? Or if you took a pill or something that had this as a side effect? Make sure you talk to your doc. because you could also become anemic because you are loosing so much blood.

Call your Doctor and leave a message with the nurse and ask if this is normal for the pill you are on...

You might have something more severe... it never hurts to ask the doc... he did go to medical school and you do pay him lots of your money to fix you...

Go back to your doctor, and tell him what is going on.
Chances are your body is just getting used to the new medicine.
