Its not the sign that makes certain people compatible. How it works is that most people born under a certain sign have similiar character traits. Of course it will vary from person to person because no two people are alike.
But you will find that most Libras share certain traits as do most Capricorns ect. How to know whether two signs are compatible is to look at the traits that each sign has. Just as if you were going to match up your two best friends because they both like the same things.
It's not that it is false. It's just that it is very general. To get a more in depth look, a birth chart would be in order. With a birth chart it is much more personal than just looking at someone sun sign.
I would also like to say here that the stars and planets have NO influence what so ever on life here on earth. The planets don't cause people to be a certain way. Astrology is about the reflection that the planets show us. As above, so below. It means that we look to the planets to see what is happening here on earth, not that we look to the planets to see what they are going to MAKE happen.

Most people would completely dismiss it. However there is one good thing. It's likely two people who choose their mates based on astrological signs are more likely to be compatible with each others since they have already one interest in common.

believe it is fake, however, there are many who believe in this being fact. remember the odds of finding two people who are compatible are dependent on other factors besides astrological birth signs. remember too there are many different kinds of zodiac astrological birth signs, so some factors may be determined by which zodiac sign you use.

The short answer is: It's all fake.
In a closed, windowless delivery room, what possible influence could the stars have had on you on the day you were born? Hell -- the doctor who brought you into this world had a stronger graviational pull on you than any of the stars or planets that were in the sky that day.

No sense in it whatsoever. Read your horoscope for today, then read someone elses. You can make any of them fit into your lifestyle. So no, it's just an old wives tale.

People make people compatible...I read on a numerology website that my husband and I were the least 2 compatible people you could ever have, but we are great friends/lovers/companions!!

Astrology is just another pseudoscience with no basis in reality. I have done many horoscopes for people, so I know quite well it is fake.

It is extemely true although normal everyday relationship probs still arise. You can just deal better and know that person temperment a little better. and you all compliment each other........
