switches itself off. flashing a NO SIGNAL on the screen. It is virus or pc lifespan's up. Thank you.

You could be overheating or your power supply could be going bad. Blow out all of the dust inside the case, and pay special attention to the CPU heatsink/fan.

There is relaly no way anyone can diagnose your computer with that little bit. "Black Flashes" how can this be? Perhaps you meant to say that the monitor shuts off intermittently and then goes off completely? Does the computer itself also go off, or does the green light on the front stay on?

Have someone with knowledge in this area take a look at your system while it does this. THat's the only way to know for sure.

If I had to guess, from your description, no, not a virus, probably just a video card going bad. Check all the cables and connections for the monitor. If they are all secure, plug in a new video card and see if this fixes the problem.

I would look to overheating as a primary cause of a computer shutting off. When was the last time it was cleaned inside?
Fans can be so clogged with dust that they stop running.

The problem seems to be with the monitor only. Check the connecting cords.
