My friend,Cheyenne, has not started her period yet. She actually wants to start! Anyway, she asked ya'll for some advice. She says that she just had a cramp at 7:58 AM today and every time she goes to the bathroom there is white stuff in her underwere and she has been having direah a lot lately.
So, ladies, what do you think? Is she about to start her period, or can I give her a few months?
By the way, she is 13 1/2. Thanks a lot.

It sounds like she has a stomach virus. Diarreah is not a normal sympton of getting a period.
The white stuff is discharge and is completely normal. She'll be getting that every month after she starts her period and is completely normal unless is changes color/texture or starts to really smell.
There is no way to really tell when she will actually get a period. She'll get it when her body feels it is ready to support a pregnancy (that's why we get them in the first place). And then it will be very irregular for up to 2 years.
Most important, don't rush it. Once she gets it, she'll have it for 30-40 years, and will long to go back to the days pre-period.

I don't really know when she is going to start her period but the white stuff maybe vaginal discharge which is normal. The diarrhea doesn't connect with having your period. Every girls body is different some girls get their period at 11, 12, 13 years old, my friend said she didn't get her till she was 14. Tell your friend having a period is not fun.

tell you're friend this is something she doesn't want to rush-TRUST me on that one!! i started mine at 12 and i've hated it ever since.
her body will do what it wants when it's ready. she shouldn't be worried about it right now.
cramping prior to your period is normal but it's usually constant and dull cramping for several days.
the white stuff is vaginal discharge and is normal for women to have (girls who are about to start their periods will have an increase in the amount).
there is no way to tell when it will happen-and once she does start and gets used to it-she'll probably hate it as much as the rest of the female population does!!!

she doesn't need to rush- honestly
once shes started she wont want to be on ever again.
if she hasn't started by 16, she should go the doctors.
tell her to remeber that every one is different.
the white stuff is just discharge tell her not to worry, some people get heavier than others, but there is things you can get from the chemist to help
tell her to be patient, and it will happen when her body is ready!

Tell her my daughter was in a hurry to start, when she did, she told me she didn't know why she wanted it, it's gross. It WILL start, she needs to be patient.
