I love parades. I been to the Easter parade in NY, and the 4th of July, Inauguration, and Cherry Blossom parades in Wash. DC. One day I hope to do the Thanksgiving Day Macy's parade in NYC, and Shriners in PA.

The 4th of July always has special meaning for me....because I had immigrated 40 years ago to come to the USA....I landed in NY, but I never knew the significance of The 4th of July, I just wondered why there was a holiday and all the stores where closed....so, HAPPY 4th of July to you all!!!
of course, I will be invited at my Daughter's house, she will BBQ for us....

I'm buying ear-plugs... whoever decided the younger generation was the one to be wary of on the 4th of July has never been around a bunch of vets. From varying wars, but mostly the Vietnam era, my neighbors , on several sides, go NUTS on this holiday. It literally sounds like war zone... that's not to say it's not fun... just very loud.

We're going down the shore (or to the beach for the non-Jersey folk!). The night before I will be on stand-by with my ambulance squad at a fireworks show in case anything goes wrong. Thats about all!

Something special for me is waking up! A day spent above ground is a good day. As for what I am going to do? Probably get everyone out of the house, go out to eat in West Hollywood side walk cafe, doodle about, and enjoy doing nothing. That is MY kind of day.!

I sure am.
Me and my dog will be doing volunteer work for the Appalachian Trail & US Forest Service-taking surveys of hikers. Will be in the high country so I can see the fireworks from several areas in MD.

family gathering......going to a parade in town then having a big BBQ with all my bothers and their families some cousins and uncles , aunts ....I haven't seen in awhile.....my moms , dad and gram......I love these get-2-gathers ....
