I am getting a new phone soon and I heard that there are new phones out and I finally narrowed it down to the 2.

I would get the BlackJack because not alot of teens have one but, EVERYONE has a Razr.

The blackjack is going to cost a good bit more than the razr i would imagine. And I doubt the features that make it cost more are ones you would use as a teenager. There is a REASON so many teenagers have razrs and not blackjacks. Most of us don't need a blackjack and it would be a waste of money for us.

The blackjack has more features, but is larger (taller). If you can get them for the exact same price, get the blackjack.
If the Blackjack is, say, $200+ and the Razr is free, get the razr.
The blackjack does have cool data (web/email/IM) capabilities and the keyboard is qwerty.
If you talk on the phone more than you text/email/use the web, get a razr.

Used to work for Verizon. Kids lose phones and get them water damaged. Get the cheapest phone you can for a kid till they learn how to be responsible.
And get insurance, you will be paying the clain for the lost phone.
Experience many damaged phones a week, twice as many on weekends.
