Oh, I am SO sorry, I totally forgot! ......Or, Im sorry, I stuffed up, I will try harder next time....those are the most productive ones. Anything else...is just an excuse. Nobody wants to hear excuses. They want people to take responsibility and OWN up to their mistakes. Migraines, flu, sick, gastro, flat battery, flat tyre, locked keys in car, funeral, boyfriend sick, traffic, the ferret stole my keys, (i used that, and it worked...I think- it was actually my lunch, i had to remake it!! ha ha) although these things happen, they are not believable anymore cause everyone else has used them too much. Basically, If you need to find excuses, you need to find a new job. One that you like. No one likes to be ripped off. Even your boss. He holds the cards, so If you dont like it? F'@#$ off somewhere else..or he will find someone that DOES want it...These days an employer has to pay a LOT of money to super, tax etc, it may not show up in your paycheck, but he is still paying it....its reasonable for him to expect people to do a good days work....Quit thinking of excuses and do what you're paid for. I worked in a major company once (J & J) It was hilarious! Whenever someone had a sick day, it reminded the other 20 workers.. Oh YEAH! sick day? I can do that, I should do that! and without fail, very single person in the company had a sick day THAT MONTH! hmmmm, wonder why! cause we are basically all lazy basstards that thinks the whole world OWES us! Be thankful you have a job. Its that simple. I've worked for my new boss for just over a year now. Ive had no sick days, Ive come in when not well, Im never late and if I have to stay back or work in my lunch hour I do it with a smile. He appreciates it, he notices it. In one year I've had more perks than in my 20 years of working. Flowers x 4, wine x 7, days off x 6, 5 pay rises, a $300 digital camera, cash bonuses, other things, In my line of work I have to take time off when he does.....he now asks me.. 'when would I like some time off?....and for all you sceptics out there,....he is happily married, and i am really ugly. Im lucky I have found a great boss, but if I know, if I where anything else...i WOULDNT GET SHIIT!

"I put the assignment in my pocket but when I got home for lunch I spilled tomato sauce on my pants so I put them in the wash but it didn't come out so I washed them again then when I went to hang them out to dry they fell in the dirt so I ran the wash once more and by then the assignment was in little bitty pieces... -That actually happened so I took my shredded assignment to school in a little plastic baggy to show my teacher. I was the class clown.

"My car broke down so my father was supposed to drive me to the bus stop but he was sick in the bathroom and when we finally went to the car the electricity went out and we couldn't open the garage gate to get out."
-This also happened.

Not great excuses and a little far fetched... but that's my luck since both happened..

I had a flat tire. But what made it worse was, the tire went flat on top. In addition I had a hard time finding a tire repair man who charges a FLAT RATE.

that a famous celebrity just happened to be driving by and stopped at a random (your house) just as soon as u were gonna start your assignment or w/e and u cldnt b rude so u talked to them and stuff
