That leads to the path of becoming a self-aggrandizing, egocentric a*shole. It's quite possible we already have enough of those here (although Seattle keeps getting more of them everyday and you'd think it would be filled to capacity by now).
I mean, if your purpose in being here is just to stroke your own ego (it certainly COULDN'T be that, could it?) then shout it from the rooftops!
However, if you are actually here to help people by the service of sharing the information and insights that you've gathered, then get off your high horse and keep it to yourself.
Do you point it out to everyone on the street when you give a homeless guy a quarter for a cup of coffee, or do you just type it out on your blog?
