i mean TMNT, transformers, some other things is the 00s the new 80s?

See, these are all the shows and characters we say back in the 80s....now, all those kids are grown up and (a) their making these movies based on their childhood, or (b) they're adults who are trying to recapture their childhoods...
I'm in the latter category.

TMNT was in the very early 90s man, not the 80s. The original cartoon anyway.

I hear Thundercats is being made into a movie (sweet!) and a new Beverly Hills Cop and Indiana Jones are being made.
I'm an 80's child so it is great to see the storylines updated - then again, it shows you how uncreative movie studios are nowadays. I guess all the good stuff has already been done.

Everything good comes back (and some bad also). For instance, TMNT (good) bellbottoms (bad). There are some really good stories that people came up with in the past forty years, and they will be repeated and redone over and over.
Hopefully this doesn't mean we have to listen to Devo again. ;-)

Actually, they are making a CGI Smurfs Trilogy due out 08 or 09. That's right, I said trilogy. Three smurfs movies. Three movies of little blue guys being chased around by a cenial old man and his cat. Three movies of a village of men with one woman. Three movies of.....you get the picture.
