I believe that it is possible that the Yeti and Sasquatch both existed at one point in history, but I very much doubt that they are still around today.
Many years ago, there used to many different types of Human being, some short, some tall, some hairy and ape-like. It's possible that at some point in history that these "Ape-men" mingled with modern man, and the story was passed down the generations and became the legend that it is today.

I understood years ago that a Yeti is a rather smallish creature that walks on two furry feet .... and the footprints they find in the snow are that large size because the prints have become larger as the snow has melted a little from the sunshine .. but in no way are they an accurate print, showing the correct size of the Yeti's feet ...

Doubtful. If there was a Yeti tha has been "sighted" so many times over the years, it would imply that there are more than 1 generation of them.
So, why havn't we ever captured one of the babies? Do they possess enough intelligence to avoid man? Where are all the dead bodies of Yetis?
It just doesn't seem logical. Sooner or later we should have come across a living specimen.

I have never met a Yeti,, But I have run into a big foot on two separate occasions... And when I say it was a close encounter I mean that it was a close encounter... The first time I was only 3 feet away, I could see it clearly the eyes were real and not a man dressed up in a animal suit.. It also smelled so badly it made my eyes water.. And when it lifted its arm up you could see his muscles rippling.. Other things happen. But when he took off I never seen a man move so fast and cover the distance that he covered in such a short period of time... another thing a yeti live in Asia where as in America we call it the big foot and the both of them are coloured in a differently manners... But they are both are suppose to be the same creature but there are not real fact to prove that point..................................................

He could do, it depends where exactly he lives. I'm sure there are lots of uninhabitable places where he could live and no one would ever see him.
He could be some kind of hairy mutant woolly mammoth type thing. It's possible. They'll never know whether the Loch Ness monster really exists because the loch is too deep and scientists discover new and thought-to-be-extinct animals all the time. The world is so big, how could anyone ever know about every living thing in it? Or how many of those species there are?
