I am going away in september and i figured out i would have my period that week. I have heard you can keep taking pills to stop the period for that month. Is this healthy? What happens for next month's period?

On your next off week just start a new pack instead and then resume pills as normal after this. This will change your period to a week earlier. Yes, it is fine to do this. My mom is an OBGYN and had me do this for my honeymoon and she also was put on birth control pills and does this year round having no periods.

skip the placebo pills and go to the next pack. The pills that are a different color brings your period in a week. hopefully its ot too late. Never stop taking them! the placebo pills are just to keep you on schedule and is the same as not taking them. when you skip that row you can skip your period

what kind of pills are we talking about? Birthcontrol? if yes, then yeah it can mess up with your hormone system.. your best bet is to check with your doctor.

i am not on the pills my cycle has been screwy for years. sometiems i dont see periods for 5-6 months. i dont think there is anything wrong with me.. very likely hormornes are the reason

This is perfectly safe. I do it quite often as i have really heavy periods and they make my life unbearable.

Your next month period shouldnt be any heavier than your normal period - so please do not worry.

Just enjoy your holiday with no horrible period to contend with!!!
