@Ashley,
It not unusual for Israel to give 5 minutes notice before they start demolishing,does your country do this too?
heres a quote from the article,
“Tonight we will sleep on the ground”, Fajua Ab Abu Al-Cian said.
Does your G/Ment do this too?
If the answer is yes to both those questions then i suggest you start speaking up.

@dojoman,
Are you saying this is ok because Israel suffers violence?
Or more likely like the rest of the answers here you are shirking the issue.
Maybe you should go and live in Gaza and you will discover the evil deeds of Israel.
Yip it's a two way street,terrorism on both sides,but i guess you dont think Israel is a terrorist state.

So you would evict people who live illegally on someone elses property,i hope you can see your own hypocrisy there.

@Cookies,
I Have already stated that i dont support terrorism of any description,whereas the people who have answered this question(i use the word answer loosely) support Israeli terror tactics,so i'll ask you where is your human decency,where is your sympathy for innocent people who have had their homes destroyed without compensation,where is your sympathy for people who have to live out in the open air with their children because Israel doesn't treat them the same way as an Israeli,if you couldn't answer the question you should have stayed clear,but you would rather show yourself as a blind supporter of state sponsored terrorism.Human decency is an alien concept to you *******.

@Ashley,
Thanks for the inhumane comment,it shows you're not brain dead and have feelings for other peoples pain.What i will challenge you on though is the 3 years claim,nowhere does it say the bedouins were given any prior notice,i believe that is the standard Israeli way of dealing with such matters ,turn up at someones house and give them 5 minutes to move all their belongings,if you can show me a source that says they gave prior warning i will apologise unreservedly.

@Cookies,
Wow man,keep talking you're showing yourself for the ignorant terrorist apologist that you are.
1)Where in the article does it say they gave the bedouin warning that their homes were to be demolished that day,i'm pretty sure the men wouldn't have left for work that day if they had prior notice.
2)What have Hamas got to do with this?
3)What proof do you have that i'm anti semitic?...for all you know i could be Jewish,but then again thats the usual Pro Israeli response when they have nothing of any substance they revert to calling people "racist" and "anti semite",and you do know that semites are any one from that region ,semites are not exclusively Jewish.You my friend and the others who have refused to say anything notable are the trolls and racists.

@Lebanon,
Israel have a record of bulldozing homes with the residents still inside,can you show me where Arabs have bulldozed Israeli homes with the occupiers,oops sorry occupants still inside?
So you're saying Israel can do as she pleases but Arabs if they did the same thing would be terrorists?
Double standards and pure sheer unadulterated hypocrisy.

"Israel can do no wrong -no matter how many crimes they commit they are only defending themselves against a common irrational hateful enemy .
I'd gladly support the federal gov giving them billions of US taxpayers money to help them steal more and more Muslim and Christian Arab land and to displace them to nowhere.
Israel is right because it IS Israel".
.............and these are the type who call the Muslims brainwashed!

Our government has the right to do the same thing. What do you think happens when they build new highways? Those living in the way are given a limited amount of time to pack up and move out.
You're right, kicking a group of people out of an area where they have lived for 51 years is inhumane. At the same time, these people were given about 3 years to evacuate. It's sad, but they chose to stay until now, and there are far bigger problems in the world to be concerned about than this one village.
My source is your own article, which also said that they were living on public, not private, property. Please read the last paragraph.
And from another article: ""ILA spokeswoman Ortal Tzabar told IRIN that over the years the ILA had tried to reach deals with the villagers in return for their eviction, but the villagers rejected the deals. " Again, I'm not saying the "deals" were reasonable or fair, I'm not arguing against that. It's a terrible situation to begin with, but did the Bedouin honestly expect that this wouldn't eventually happen? Did anyone speak up when all of this first began in 2002?

Wow, there's alot of uproar in here. I noticed how some keep referring to "Hamas" or "Fatah" and the horrible acts of extreme violence that their hands inflict onto others. But what has this got to do with the people discussed in the article? Bedouins are typically looked at as "desert dwellers" (spawned from the Arabic name: Badawi) or nomadic people. Their usually found together in tribes. So please don't associate these wonderful people with such ugliness as "Hamas", okay? I'm not going to take sides or defend anyone, I'm just going to offer my humble insight. What was done to these people is awful and inhumane. It seems that in many instances, Natives or indigenous people are always, in some way, jeopardized when it comes to their land, their homes, their shelter. These are wondrous cultures that have survived, I'm sure, thousands of years. We should cherish and hold dear that of our ancestors on a equal human level. These are humanities ancestors. I don't see this as a "pro-Israeli" or "anti-Israeli" debate. It was wrong that these people weren't given a choice, as are many people not given a choice. They weren't camped out in the middle of a busy intersection or bringing harm to anyone, in fact, the harm was brought to them. And I don't want to hear that old tired saying, "Well, life's tough". Not if I can change it. And if anyone wants to read up on Bedouins, here's a website: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bedouin

Did you make a donation? Do you really believe everything you read as 100% gospel? I am pro Israel but not in every way. When Israel does something that is irrefutably wrong then I comment on that wrong and admonish the Israelis. However, I must first make sure that the information I receive is perfectly honest and accurate. There are literally thousands of articles on the web pro and against Israel. Which articles are true and which have been made up or eggerated?

I didn't wanted to answer this question,but after reading the answers I wanted to ...Well it's "funny" how people are trying to justify every single action of Israel...I was really surprised to see people justifying the use of children as human shield by the IDF,so I don't understand why they justifying the destruction of homes still surprises me...Well maybe you guys should read some reports from B'Tselem or the last report from Amnesty International...They reveal some really interesting things about the illegal actions of the Israeli governments when it comes to destroying Palestinian houses in order to make way for new settlements...

eminent domain has now become a joke in this country too. however, if you would care to go and live in isreal and face the violence against them on a daily basis as they do, i am pretty sure you would not have the same 'perspective' you want to share with us today...human decency is a two way street...never, ever forget that...
and no, i don't think isreal is a terrorist state and that is because they are NOT a terrorist state

LET ME ASK YOU THIS: if this land was arab muslim and those shacks were jewish, do you think arabs would have mercy on them?
i think the muslims would have said go in your house and we will tear it down with you in it.
Israel can do what it wants, thats their land. Those bedouins belong in saudi arabia, they are not contributing to society, all they do in life is sit in the house and teach their kids koran.
Israel will take these houses down, and build other things that are more useful and will progress humanity.

Shame, shame. And the saddest thing, if you think dispassionately, is that the Jew is one of the best God has allowed to developed. If this can happened to the Jews, what they are doing, what can one expect from less endowed members of the specie.

The town is state owned Israeli property. Israel has decided to build a town and remove some Arabs from their shacks to do so. It is no different than one of our states removing the homeless from an area that is earmarked to be renewed. Are you an Arab trying to make Israel look bad? I think so.
