You love your parents, your siblings, your friends, even your dog. When you are in love with someone, really in love you feel it all thru your body. When that person walks in the room you feel a flutter in your heart, you want that to be the first person you talk to in the morning and the last person you talk to at night. This is the person that you want at your side thru all the good and the bad, the one you lean on and want to lean on you. That is just what I think.

"Being in love" is the usual term for "infatuation" or "limerence". Most relationships begin with this emotion, which is characterised by lack of objectivity towards the person you are in love with. It is the state where "heart rules the mind".

"Loving" is usually reserved for a later stage, when the rose-coloured glasses are off, when you can realistically assess the other person, with all their virtues and flaws, when you know the irritating little quirks, when the reality of life sets in - and one still chooses to be intimate and devoted to this person.

One very interesting theory is the triangular theory of love, which classifies different kinds of love into seven types, according to three main characteristics. Look at the article, it is quite illuminating.

Anyone can love someone or anything, but inlove is a deep love from the heart.

My opinion. Telling someone that you love them --means exactly that. I often tell my children that I love them. I also might say in correspondence to someone on the net--to cheer them up--love ya. It means affection But to say that you are "in love" means the romanic kind of a bond for a lover/ friend/ close companion. Being "in love" is a very special saying. I love lots of people but I am "in love" with no one (at the present time)

Being in love and loving are to different things. In love means you actually have no doubt you want to be with them or youve been together long enough to know, you are sure. Loving means you care you like alot but you arent in love.

Oh yes it does have different meaning. When you are in love it can only be with the person you fell in love with. The one you want to marry someday.

When you love, it's anything. Whatever you love. If you love your mother, your dog or your car! Whatever.
