Whenever I find myself watching some cr@ppy gameshow I nearly always hope that the contestant wins. However, Deal or No Deal's contestants invariably strike me as annoying ar$eholes and I nearly always hope they go home with nothing. Does anybody feel the same or am I just being mean?

Yeah it's like you can't go on that show unless you're an attention seeking ex drama school student. I hope they lose when they start coming out with all this pseudo spiritual stuff about luck and vibes and karma. The few normal people that play the game for what it is - randomly opening boxes and hoping for the best - I hope they do well.

Hi!

I know what you mean!!

We sky plus it every day and manage to watch in within four minutes!!

We can skip through all the sob story crap, all the dancing around the other contestants, all the kissing when it's a really low box that's been dismissed, etc. etc.

The kids absolutely LOVE it when someone has lost a loada money and start to cry!

Even my youngest can work out that IT'S NOT THEIR RIGHT to win a high sum of money. They're on a game show and anything they come out with is more than they started with!!

So, no, you're not being mean!

When the contestants have been too greedy and gone all the way when they have been offered a HUGE amount of money, then thats when I hope and pray that they go home with nothing!

it depends who the person is - most often i find myself inside willing them to do badly if they are an intensly annoying person, but sometimes they do have really good reasons for going on there. the reason most of them are pretty annoying is that they have to audition to get on there, so very few are just normal everyday nice people who want a bit of money to pay of their uni depts or something......

so yer, depends who it is but often i do find an evil, satisfied grin spreading accross my face when some idiotic dweeb who brought a picture of their pet snail along for support finds the 250,000 (mwa ha haaaa haaaaaaaaa)

at least i know im not the only one!

Yes I do. It is what I call a "greed" show. No brains needed, just pure luck, but you can see the pound signs in their eyes and they mostly waffle on about "vibes" and such nonsense and always follow it up with some "sad" story. I can't be watching them as they make me cringe!

Depends, if youre watching an episode of New Zealands version of Deal or no Deal youre more likely want to go and shoot yourself its so damn boring.

who ever gave me a thumbs down obviously has never endured an incredibly long drawn out HOUR long version of the show here... otherwise theyd be looking for their gun instead of giving me a thumbs down.

the fact is, the australian version is much better than the NZ version (not that you couldnt tell from my appreciation of the nz show eh?)

that is such a mean statement to make. these people are just normal everyday souls going about life, trying to ease the pressure of being in financial hardship. just think if one of the contestants was your sister or something and everyone wanted her to lose, how would that make you feel?

I wish some of what I pervieve as scumbags to walk away with nothing.

I like to see them cry when they realise they have blown a chance of big money.

I hate greedy people.

Scoucers and Jocks makes me sit and watch the TV more, waiting for the expression of shock when they realise they are walking home with pennies.

C'mon Noel Edmonds more greedy scoucers please
