Locate the fan outlet on the machine and get a vaccum cleaner on it!! Probably a dust build up. Take the casing off and do it if you feel confident about it.

Could be your fan at the back of the computer, might be very dust. Have a look and see if this is the problem? Games make the driver work a little harder and it may be struggling to cool the system if it is congested with dust. No problem in the morning or rain maybe cause by air still being cool at this time.

Games consumes more of your CPU energy and thats why it over heats when you play CPU intensive games. You can add some extra cooling fans in your ATX cabinet or try to use separate Video card to minimize CPU power while playing games. The best possible alternate is install an A/C :)

is it always all games when it overheats or is it one peticular game?
if its one peticular game your graphics card is probably not able to handle the load of this game. as for the times when it does or doesn't overheat i think that is just coincidence. take the left side off your computer and when it starts to over heat see if the processor fan slows down or quits all together also if your graphics card has a fan watch it to see what it is doing .

Once I had the same problem. It may have three reasons:
1.Something's wrong with your computer power, check it.if so, change it for a new one.
2.One of the fans inside your computer case has been removed from its place and probably has dropped inside the case which you should fix in its correct place.
3.Your graphics card isn't so good.
Hope this helps.

Open the box and chech that all the fans are working if so carefully remove all the dust from the heatsinks and fans with a soft brushed vacuum. This will help with circulation and keep things cooler.

So it only overheats in the heat of the day! Yeh really wierd.
Clean out your fans on the case and internally. Dont obstruct the ventilation holes.

I installed another fan to my computer and don't turn it on during a warm day plus I place an electric fan directly on hole where it sucks in air.
