i or should i say we(hubby and i) have these pals! a couple! anyway she drives us mad by thinking she is going to better than any1!! they do not earn much ,have bought a house a yr ago and still live with mum rent free so they could gut it etc!! she tries to compete with all her friends and actually got very funny with my hubbs brother n wife as they bought a house 3 yrs ago and are still struggling to do it up as they moved straight in so they told her they are doing 1 room at a time which is the sensible thing to do! our friend said " they are w-----s! and our house will be better!!she is still having all her meals cooked by mummy and can't cook herself yet she now wants a range cooker! which will prob never get used!! My mum says we should give her a few home truths as she can be so rude! SHOULD WE??

get this. she asked her other friend how much she paid for her house about 15 times till she told her.Now she wants to make her house better!!

I would not accept them as your friends hon, a true friend does not act like that! I would be inclined to take one step back from their relationship with you, then after a month or so take two steps back. True friends should not cause you stress like that, so ease out of the so-called friendship gradually. And I think your brother-in-law and his wife are quite smart in what they are doing, that's very good planning! Have a great day.

Why are you friends with these people. She has already insulted your hubby's brother and his wife! Don't lower yourself to her level. If anything, be overly nice, just to show her up for what she is!
You can choose your friends you know, slowly phase them out, don't accept their invitations, don't invite them anywhere, they'll soon get the hint. If they ask why, then you can tell her why; because she never has a nice word to say about anyone and you could do without someone like that in your life. It's unfortunate for her hubby as he is going to lose friends too, but he made his choice when he married this negative cow.

She has no manners!! Just tell her when she starts, "That's nice, but let's talk about something interesting tonight for a change. We all know that you have a house. " If she continues, pull her to the side and say, "I really don't want to be rude, but you have monopolized the conversation with talk of your house for awhile now. Can we talk about other things tonight?" If she gets angry, what have you lost--a big mouth person that is always making other people uncomfortable. I know that I wouldn't miss her much!!
