something here is not as good as i expected

The answers, and questions, can only be as good as the people who participate. Sure, there is alot of cheese and fluff and god-awful garbage, but that just makes the gems you find all the more valuable.
Perhaps you had too high an expectation of yahoo answers, which it could never fulfill, at least 100% of the time. Perhaps its best not to lower your expectations but lower the frequency of it (instead of it being great all the time, allowing for it to be great some of the time, maybe one great answer a day.) The smaller your expectation, the greater the fullfillment will be, since anything beyond becomes gravy on the potatoes.

Maybe your expectations were too high. Some days on here are better than others depending on the quality of questions. You get out of it what you put into it. I enjoy trying to help others through my life experiences. Spend a little more time here and I think you will have a good time, regardless of your expectations.

What exactly were you looking for? If you try to make it a better place yourself you just might find it addictive.
It's a great place to learn effective communication. I find that what I think is easy to be understood isn't always. Pose some questions, see what answers you get. It's a great place to learn about people.

because so many people ask such stupid questions...and it just seems like spam most of the time.
