Alot of dream of driving or racing ultra-expensive, super high-performance cars. But how how safe are they. At 200+, no airbags can really save you (see crash data stats), but even at street-legal struts, are these cars (airbagless cars like Bugatti Veyron 16.4's, Saleen S7's w/ integrated space frames, Hennessey Vipers, etc.) safe? Flashy is fine, but dismembered is not.

Just a quandary...

I have yet to see a road that is open enough to do 200+ mph.
If you have the money to afford these vehicles, then obviously you have something that resembles a brain. An owner of these vehicles would not be pushing that speed without some serious thought and planning.
The best piece of safety equipment available in any vehicle is a driver who knows what he's doing.

Please also realize people who can afford a super car also know now nice it is to drive it how it was intended. Motor sports Racing clubs driver schools I attend even with a 460 hp 2006 Pontiac GTO. You get the speed you need around other drivers passing on straightaways. Several tracks I can attain 145 mph before I have to slow to corner.
Need for speed satisfied I drive slowly and carefully and just laugh at the antics it see other drivers do.
