They have made some real bad movies in the years. I can sit through most movies but for me the worst films are those that you just have to shut off and not finish. I am a big movie watcher and rent movies every Tuesday when they come out. I can sit and watch movies like the Cable guy and most other bad movies some have listed but. When I think of the worst movie 2 comes to mind.

The Million Dollar Hotel with Mel Gibson

and

Lost in Translation with Bill Murray

Those 2 movies I had to shut off with out seeing the ending. They were real bad movies to me. I got past more then half way but I was almost asleep, and I can sit through almost every movie even if it is bad except those.

Worst film in the last 25 years? Would have to be something that was mega-hyped, and landed a turkey big-time. I'm placing my vote on GODFATHER III - it was the most awaited turned most disappointing sequel with the worst ever debut for Sofia Coppola (though she's a pretty good director).

Mainstream film? if so "Snakes On A Plane".
What was bad about it? Absolutely everything, from the acting to the ridiculous cgi, ever heard of a snake with more teeth than a shark?
My three year old would have come up with a better storyline.

I've been reading the list below and it brought up ones I hadn't even tought of, I would have to say almost everyone was right (except The Queen) , so I don't even know where to begin. I guess as it's the last film I saw I would say Pirates of the Carribean 3, what a waste of money and time.

The "Bewitched" movie. I am a huge fan of the show and was so looking to a big screen version, and was hugely disappointed!

First of all, they should have just made a move about Samantha and Darren, and not about the actors who were playing them. Secondly, Nicole Kidman as Samantha was wonderful casting, as was Shirley MacLaine as Endora, but Will Ferrell as Darren?!? It would have been SO much funnier if Jim Carrey had been Darren, then changed him out for another actor--like, say, Kevin Spacey!

Again, if they had just had the film be about "Bewitched" and not a behind-the-scenes thing, it would have been a lot better. SHAME ON NORA EPHRON!!!!

The hills have eyes, it is disgusting ! Creepy deformed monsterlike creatures rape and kill a whole family. One of them even sucks milk from a young mother's breast. Who wants to see young women get raped ?? And by monsters ? I would like to know how many people sat around a table and thought this was a good idea for a movie ! REVOLTING !!!
Guess what ? A sequel is coming out too... *PUKES*
I knew the world was becoming a bad place but this film proves it ! What kind of sick perves get a kick out of garbage like that ? It really disturbs me. *Shudders*

Lost In Space.
Joey Tribbiani as a Space Captain, I don't think so. That film went on for hours and nothing exciting happened.
Natural Born Killers.
The only film I contemplated walking out of, talk about style over substance. Don't get me started on Robert Downey Jr's "English" accent. I might have walked out of Lost In Space but I was asleep for a lot of it.

Trespass (1992) - Bill Paxton and some other whiteguy go looking in an abondandoned building for gold (huh?). At the same time Ice-T and his gang want to have a turf war with some other people. Then this guy with gold golf spikes on his feet goes walking around the factory to make it all intimidating and scary.

Punch Drunk Love with Adam Sandler. It was the most slowest movie I have ever tried to watch. I have attempted to watch it like 3 times but can only get into about an hour of before I want to smash my t.v. with a baseball bat or pass out due to extreme boredom.
